Riann C. Miller lives in southeast Kansas and writes steamy
contemporary romance stories. When she’s not reading or writing, she spends
time with her friends and family or you might catch her watching a baseball
game with a beer in her hand.
Where are you from?
I live in Pittsburg, KS.
When did you begin writing?
I started around four years ago. I didn’t publish my first
book until September 2015.
When did you first consider yourself a writer?
Most days, I still don’t.
What inspired you to write your first book?
I’ve had stories running through my head for years.
Eventually, my husband encouraged me to publish them.
How did you come up with the title?
Some titles come to me before I write the book and others,
I wait forever to figure out the perfect title that will capture the story.
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to
grasp?
Yes. I believe in strong woman who are willing to stand up
for themselves.
Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in
your own life?
No. Some of my characters pull their personalities from
people I know but that’s as close to my real world my books will get.
What are your current projects?
I have two anthologies coming out this summer and sometime
this fall, I plan to release a novel called The Dangers of Dreaming.
Do you have anything specific you want to say to your
readers?
Yes, a huge thank you. There are millions of books to choose
from and I’m touched every time someone decides to pick up one of mine.
