To the BookStore we go

August 29, 2011  by Melissa Birchfield

It is my pleasure to introduce you to a delightful book shop nestled in the small west Arkansas town of Van Buren. You will find Coffee and a Good Book in the quaint historic downtown shopping district.

Upon entering you will find books and vintage goods mingling like old friends. Cookbooks sit patiently with pretty dishes, jello molds, tins, and an eclectic mix of utensils and cookware.

If you are looking for books about beauty and fashion you will find them comfortably lounging among vintage hats, clothes, gloves, and accessories that speak of past glamour.

I love the charming children's area. It's the perfect place for sharing your favorite childhood stories with the little ones in your life or perhaps just remembering your own childhood adventures.

Are sewing and decorating more your cup of tea? A cozy little corner with vintage fabric, old ribbons, and an antique sewing machine is temporary home to books on embroidery, knitting, home decor, etc. This little shop also holds vintage, science fiction, contemporary fiction, classics, sports, biographies, history, and religion. It's all here waiting for a home.

Once you've made your selection, sit for a spell with a treat and a cup of your favorite brew and enjoy your new-found treasure.
