I have more books than bookshelf space. Books are everywhere; jammed into cupboards, stacked on the floor, packed away in boxes. And then there are all the books that are at other people's homes. I cringe when someone shows up with a bag of books they want to return! Books have become art in my home. They are included in vignettes and used to create a statement. Anyone walking in to my house just needs to read the titles of my books to know a lot about me. My favorite stack of books is the stack of lovely words I haven't read yet. I tend to get a little bit nervous when that stacks starts to dwindle. I have so many favorite books but being asked to choose 5 favorites, today I chose these:

1. The Seat of the Soul: my guide book to life.
2. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and the following two book: I have mad love for Lisbeth.
3. The Witching Hour by Anne Rice: I read it every year or two.
4. The Help: an excellent new book and first novel for the author.
5. Dictionary of Quotations
6. I know you asked me for 5 books but I have to include all my cookbooks. I read them all the time!
